80 WWII Veterans accompanied by Guardians are on a tour of Washington DC for the WWII Memorial Visit. The majority of these “Greatest Generation” Veterans are 90+. We are all grateful for the enormous sacrifices they made in WWII in the defense of this great Nation.
They will be returning back to San Diego on Sunday, October 5. Please join us in welcoming them home!
What: A chartered US Airways flight returning to San Diego International Airport.
When: Sunday, October 5, 2014, 2:00 PM. The flight is expected to land at 2:45 PM in Terminal 2 at Lindbergh Field. Please note that last year a flight arrived just after 2:00 PM, so we must be ready by 2:00.
Where: Far west end of Terminal 2 baggage claim, carousels 7 and 8.
USO validates parking for the Knights of Columbus, check in at the USO Office across the street from the airport. Tell the counter personnel you are from the Knights and you’re there to welcome home our veterans from the Honor Flight.
There is no need to RSVP. All are welcome! Please share this information with others so we can have a truly festive welcome for our senior veterans.
