The Testa Family
Our San Diego Diocese Chapter Family of the Month is the Testa family from Regina Coeli Council #4953 in Escondido. Brother Nick, a Knight for over 10 years, has been married to Elizabeth (Liz) for 13 years and they have 4 children- Kathryn 12, Mary 10, Nicholas 9, and Gianna 6, all of whom are active in sports. Liz is a radiation therapist helping treat cancer patients and Nick homeschools their kids. As his Council’s Culture of Life Chairman, his whole family is involved pro-life activities including a public Rosary at a nearby Planned Parenthood Clinic. His son Nicholas is an altar server in their parish, and the girls have been members of the church choir. In addition to being the current Warden of his council, Nick helped his church charter an American Heritage Girls Troop- a national scouting group more aligned with our faith. Among other activities, they help raise funds to combat human trafficking, and the girls recently received their organization’s Catholic religious emblem. Nick and his family are a great example of the wonderful families we have in the Knights of Columbus.
