Matt and Kristie Grisafe, sons Mark (with his fiancé Maggie), Joseph, Thomas, and Kristie’s mother Shirley
Our San Diego Diocese Chapter Family of the Month is the family of Matthew Grisafe from Regina Coeli Council #4953 in Escondido. Matt is currently the Grand Knight of his council so his family is an inspiration to others, both in his council and hopefully through this award, to others in the Chapter. Members of St. Mary’s Church in Escondido, both he and his wife Kristie, married 29 years, are active in the council and their parish; Mary as a member of the Altar Society, helping maintain and prepare the church weekly, as well a serving as a Pastor’s Assistant for social functions in the Parish, decorating and helping cater events. She’s also is a member of the Parish Rosary Society, where Matt and Kristie pray the rosary daily in the Church. Matt is a Eucharistic Minister and the lector coordinator for St. Mary’s, training lectors and scheduling them for each mass. They set a good example for their three boys, Mark, Joseph and Thomas, all grown, have also served their parishes as Altar Servers. The Grisafe’s are a great example of how we want our Knights to Build the Domestic Church- with holy and loving Catholic families for the Church’s mission of evangelization in our time.
